Here are general recommendations gathered from many hikers who went camping at the Kinneret:
- Based on many reviews from hikers at Kinneret camping beaches, it seems that many facilities and showers at organized beaches are not properly maintained. At many of them there are no toilet seats and no toilet paper, which requires you to prepare accordingly.
- On holidays of the different sectors there is a much higher load on Kinneret beaches and camping sites, so if you want peace and quiet, it is recommended to pay attention to come at times that are not holidays or weekends, especially in the summer season.
- In the summer it gets very hot in the Kinneret area and temperatures often exceed 40 degrees Celsius at peak heat. For those looking for more comfortable weather and pleasant, not cold water, it is recommended to come in the transitional seasons – autumn and spring.
- Midweek at the end of summer is the best time, as the children are already in school and therefore large families come to tour the Kinneret less often, temperature levels drop, and the water is still pleasant for swimming.
- Separate beaches for men and women at the Kinneret are – Tiberias separate beach in the southwest of the Kinneret and Kinor beach in the northeast of the Kinneret. At these beaches there is complete separation between men and women, and at Kinor beach there is also a mixed area for family camping.
