Mitzpe Nechama Lookout campsite is located on the Golan Trail and serves as a stopping point for hikers on this trail to sleep, rest and fill up on water.

Nearby towns

Near the campsite is Yonatan village and a little further away is Keshet village. The closest city is Qazrin.

Gas stations

There are no gas stations close to the campsite, and the closest stations are in the city of Qazrin. Here is a breakdown of gas stations from all directions of the campsite by distance:

West of the campsite in Qazrin city 15.5 km away there are 3 relatively close gas stations – Paz Qazrin, Menta gas and Sonol Qazrin.
North of the campsite 23.5 km away is the Paz-Gaz Ein Zivan gas station, and another 7.5 km from there is the Merom Golan gas station.
South of the campsite 29 km away is the gas station of Eliad village.

(Google marks two very close gas stations, one in Yonatan village and one in Keshet village, but there are no reviews and it’s unclear if you can actually fuel up there. Visitors who know you can fuel up there are invited to comment below and we will add it to the article.)

For those who prefer not to use the chemical toilets at the campsite, unfortunately there are not many options. Here is a list of the closest public restrooms to the campsite:

Ani’am village – Public restrooms with wheelchair access according to Google (we haven’t been there so would love to hear from visitors about the quality of the facilities).

Qazrin – At the two gas stations Paz Qazrin and Menta gas, hikers wrote in reviews that there are restrooms. The third gas station – Sonol Qazrin is located near Shufersal which has restrooms.

Golan Youth Center – Between Qazrin and Qadmá there is the Golan Youth Center which also has public restrooms.
